Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Educational Administration is for students who seek an online master’s degree program in the administration of educational programs. The program is designed to prepare potential leaders to assume various administrative positions which require knowledge and skills in leadership, supervision, and the ability to effectively administer in educational settings. Course curriculum will translate theory into effective practical application so that students become ethical and innovative leaders who can manage and administer in diverse educational environments. Please note: This program does not lead to the Illinois administrative endorsement (formally the Type 75). If that is your goal outcome, you will need to pursue the Illinois Principal Preparation program.

Masters Capstone Experience

Candidates will complete a needs assessment project in the course EDU 6130, School Evaluation and Change Processes, as well as a narrative reflection of how the program coursework has influenced the candidate’s framework and viewpoint of educational administration.
