For Doctoral Education Programs

Thank you for your interest in Concordia University's doctoral programs.

To begin the application process, we will need your application and $50 application fee. These items are found in Steps 1 & 2 and can be completed by clicking the button(s) next to each step.

Application for Graduate Admission

Complete and submit the cohort application by clicking the button.

Information Meeting

Attend an online information meeting to have your $50 application fee waived.

If you are unable to attend a scheduled meeting, please contact Holly Kains for additional options.

Once your seat has been reserved, follow the remaining steps to complete your admissions file:

Financial Aid & Payment Options

Apply for financial aid and/or make arrangements for payment. You will need to complete the FAFSA online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. It is in your best interest to complete the financial aid process as early as possible. For assistance, call Concordia’s financial aid help-line at 708-209-3113.

To inquire about the Pay-As-You-Go plan, please contact the Business Services Office at 708-209-3241.

Official Transcripts

Arrange for all official, sealed academic transcripts from institutions where degrees were earned to be sent to Concordia University Chicago. For transcript review questions, contact the Office of Graduate Admission directly at 708-209-4093.

Official transcripts can be emailed directly from the institution to grad.admission@CUChicago.edu.

***Please note, once official transcripts are received by the Graduate Admission Office, they can take up to four weeks to reconcile and be added to your admission file.***

Transfer Credit Review Form: Complete this form only if you are requesting to transfer credit from graduate coursework into this program. This form must be completed and returned prior to beginning classes at CUC in order for your transcripts to be evaluated. Request must be submitted at least one week prior to the semester start date.

Objective Statement

Clicking the button will take you to a form where you can submit your objective statement. You can upload a document from Microsoft word. This statement should include information on your future educational goals and/or objectives and their relationship to pursuing graduate work at Concordia Chicago.

Letters of Recommendation

Please arrange for two letters of recommendation to be completed and returned to Concordia University. To get started, click the button and enter the information for each recommender. Concordia will email the form directly to the recommender on your behalf.

Professional Resume & Certificates

Please provide a copy of your resume that documents 2 years of teaching/administrative leadership experience and your teaching/administrative certificates. You can upload these documents by clicking the button.

Writing Sample

Please submit a paper that demonstrates your ability to write in a scholarly manner at a level typical of graduate work. A paper from your master’s program would be most appropriate. This sample should be approximately 5 pages long (no longer than 5 pages); please submit the sample in Word format and upload using the button.

Graduate Registration Form

You will receive this form from the Graduate Information Office approximately 4- 6 week prior to the program beginning.
